New Years Eve in Las Vegas 2014

New Year’s Eve is a great time to visit Las Vegas. To thousands of people all over the world, Vegas is the destination to ring out the old and ring in the new.

As such, New Year’s Eve in Las Vegas is always packed, especially on the Strip and this year won’t be any different.

New Year’s Eve in Las Vegas usually equates to magnificent fireworks shooting off from the Strip’s casino rooftops, massive parties and over crowded streets. Which means there is certainly no shortage of fun around town.

So whether you want to ring in 2015 with one of the hottest DJs in the business, or dance the night away at one of the pumping clubs, you can’t go wrong when it comes to the New Year’s Eve bashes in Sin City.

The Las Vegas Strip

On New Year’s Eve, the Strip transforms into one of the largest pedestrian mall parties, which is something you won’t want to miss out on.

On the Strip, the atmosphere changes to reflect the holiday season and the hours leading up to midnight you can party outside with tens of thousands of strangers under the stars and bright neon lights.

As the clock strikes midnight, the magnificent fireworks shooting from the rooftops of the hotels set to music will drown out all the lights on the Strip in a scene that is just spectacular.

The Nightclubs

New Year’s Eve is one of the biggest nights in the world of nightlife for Las Vegas. Prepare yourself for the best night of partying as all the clubs will be pulling out all the stops to create a night you will never forget.

If you’re looking to party with some of Vegas’ hottest resident DJ’s, but you want to enjoy the fireworks as well, Drais Nightclub at The Cromwell Hotel, Moon Nightclub at the Palms, 108 TOWER PARTY at the Stratosphere Tower Observation Deck and Chateau Nightclub and Rooftop at Paris Las Vegas are highly recommended.

The luxurious den, The Foundation Room; the patio at Hyde Bellagio and Ghostbar on the 55th floor of the Palms Resort also offer fantastic views.

If live performances are more your thing then Drake will be performing at Marquee, Robin Thicke will be at FoxTail inside the SLS, Bruno Mars will be at Tryst nightclub and the hip-hop legend Snoop will be at Tao Nightclub.

Beacher’s Madhouse at the MGM Grand will have Jeff Beacher or you can catch Iggy Azalea at Drai’s, Grammy-winning hip-hop duo Macklemore and Ryan Lewis at 1 OAK at The Mirage or Trey Songz at The Bank Nightclub.

If you want to celebrate New Year’s Eve with live DJs, then you can book your VIP table for superstar DJs Calvin Harris at Hakkasan, Steve Angello at LiFE nightclub at the SLS Casino; resident DJ Lil Jon will be at Surrender Nightclub at Wynn Las Vegas or Alesso at LIGHT, ZEDD at XS.

The Las Vegas Shows

Although it’s New Year’s Eve, there are several SHOWS going on in the city. You can enjoy a night of classic songs with Michael Feinstein’s at The Smith Center or ring in 2015 with a memorable concert at The Chelsea with Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga.

Pop diva Britney Spears will be doing it again at Planet Hollywood and New Year’s Eve wouldn’t be the same without Jubilee!

Fremont Street Experience

Apart from the Vegas strip, the Fremont Street Experience is another great place to ring in the New Year. Fremont Street is always fun and on New Year’s Eve you can enjoy one of the country’s largest block parties.

This year you can rock out with Fan Halen, No Duh, Aeromyth and to ten other tribute bands at Tribute Palooza. If you plan to enjoy the live entertainment and spectacular light show at Fremont Street, you should get there early as it tends to get crowded fast.

The Hotels

While you will have lots to keep you occupied, the casino resorts will take your breath away.

At midnight, the Stratosphere Tower, Caesars Palace, Treasure Island (TI), Aria Resort & Casino at CityCenter complex, MGM Grand, Planet Hollywood and The Venetian will launch a choreographed fireworks show that will be one of the best in the world.

Inside, you will find some of the hottest bars and lounges, entertainment, extravagant parties and nightclubs that are packed with celebrities celebrating the New Year at their special parties.

Food and Drinks

If you want to indulge your palate with a savory dinner, the restaurants have delectable menus and the perfect setting for you to share a midnight Champagne toast with someone special, or enjoy a casual or fine dining experience.

Dine indoors or around the private lagoon while enjoying home-made pastas and a variety of fresh fish and shellfish at Bartolotta Ristorante di Mare at Wynn Las Vegas.

Enjoy breathtaking views of the Strip and an edgy lounge style interior mixed with fine wines and a variety of signature dishes at Delano Las Vegas’ miX.

An array of prime aged beef selections, fresh seafood, tasty desserts along with an impressive wine list and hand-crafted cocktails can be found at the award-winning N9NE Steakhouse Palms Casino.

For the ultimate romantic setting, the Eiffel Tower Restaurant at Paris Las Vegas will let you indulge in your favorite meal at more than 100 feet above the city.

An unparalleled dining experience 800 feet above the Las Vegas Strip can also be enjoyed at the Stratosphere Casino, Hotel and Tower.

A Final Word

There is only one place for you to ring in the New Year this year and that’s Las Vegas. New Year’s Eve in the city is easily the biggest party of the year.

With live concerts, nightclubs with big-name DJs and a plethora of restaurants and other hot spots that are eager to please, when 2015 kicks off you can be in the center of it all in Vegas.

Please note, if you are planning on going clubbing on New Year’s Eve, you should stay at the hotel where you plan to party. Because once the crowd starts to build it will be very difficult to get around and the Strip will be closed to vehicle traffic from about 6:00 p.m. on New Year’s Eve.

Also if you are on a tight budget or crowds is not your thing, New Year’s is not the right time for you to be in Vegas. This is usually the busiest time in the city, which means things will get really crowded and expensive during this time.
